Dwarf Cleric, Travel Domain

Bessok, a Dwarf hailing from the Sword Mountains, is a devout follower of Marthammor Duin, the Dwarven God of travel and exploration. His unwavering faith is evident in his inability to settle in one place for long, a wanderlust that constantly propels him toward new horizons.

He's undertaken various small missions for the Order of the Gauntlet, an organization he aligns with due to their shared values of protecting the innocent and upholding justice, even if his involvement is often fleeting as he moves from one task to the next.

Now, his journeys have brought him to Red Larch, a town that, while seemingly unremarkable to some, likely presents a fresh set of opportunities for discovery and perhaps even a new mission that aligns with both his adventurous spirit and his devotion to Marthammor Duin. What he'll uncover or what challenges he'll face in Red Larch remain to be seen, but one thing is certain: Bessok won't be staying put for long.

Human Ranger, Hunter / Rogue, Inquisitive

Hailing from the ancient and mystical High Forest, Joe is no stranger to the wilderness. He honed his formidable survival skills at the feet of the local Druids and Rangers, learning not only to thrive in nature but also to respect its more perilous corners—knowledge that taught him some areas of the High Forest are best left undisturbed.

His adventures have taken him far from his homeland, but not without purpose. The Emerald Enclave, an organization dedicated to preserving the natural order, has entrusted him with a critical task: to investigate the Circle of the Scarlet Moon. This mysterious group of druids is rumored to be dabbling in dangerous ritual magic, practices unknown and potentially harmful to the delicate balance of the natural world. Joe's mission is to uncover the truth behind these rituals and determine the extent of their threat, ensuring the Enclave can respond effectively to protect the realms from unforeseen magical imbalances.

Dwarf Fighter, Champion

Also hailing from the Sword Mountains, Morthwyl was once part of a highly proficient adventuring group. Their skills were undeniable, but even the most capable can be overwhelmed by unforeseen dangers. Their ill-fated quest to find the missing Mirabar Delegation led them directly into the clutches of the Cults of Elemental Evil, a force far beyond their combined abilities.

Morthwyl emerged as the lone survivor of that devastating encounter, scarred but alive. While recovering in Yartar, fate, or perhaps a shared sense of destiny, brought her together with Gark, Bessok, and Joe. Now, with a new camaraderie forged in shared experiences of loss and purpose, Morthwyl seeks a new path, perhaps one that will lead her to confront the very evils that tore her previous life apart.

Vinthanamel the Lost (Joined: Session 23)
Elven Wizard, Enchanter

Vinthanamel was once utterly captivated by an Elven beauty, her very presence a sunbeam in his life. Yet, he hesitated, too long, to voice the surging feelings in his heart. When he finally did, her gentle refusal shattered him. Heartbroken, he retreated from the vibrant Elven world, choosing the solitary life of a hermit, dwelling on his profound loss. In his self-imposed exile, he immersed himself in ancient texts and forgotten lore, his magical prowess soaring alongside his understanding of the world. It was then he unearthed whispers of a long-dead Dwarven civilization, of a legendary place called Besilmer. Driven by a newfound purpose, he embarked on a cross-country odyssey to see it with his own eyes.

His journey, however, took an unexpected turn. Strange mists descended, swallowing him whole. He pressed onward into the ethereal unknown, soon finding himself adrift in the Shadowfell, a plane he knew only from dusty scrolls. A suffocating weight pressed down, the whispers of a forgotten tongue echoing in his mind as he cautiously navigated the eerie lands of the dead. Just as suddenly, the mists returned, depositing him back where he started, as if no time had passed at all.

Days later, deep within the ancient halls of Besilmer, Vinthanamel pushed too far, venturing into forbidden depths. The Cult of the Crushing Wave ensnared him, dragging him to their terrifying altar, ready to sacrifice him to the Elder Elemental Eye. Only the timely intervention of a group of adventurers saved him from oblivion. Now, bound by shared experience, he's joined their ranks, eager to unravel the mysteries that lie ahead.

Half-Orc Druid, Circle of the Moon

Once, Gark knew the warmth of a loving family and the comfort of a home. That life was brutally ripped from him when he witnessed his house consumed by flames, taking his wife and child with it. The memory of that night is an unyielding scar, driving him to simply survive, day by day.

In the wake of his profound loss, Gark discovered a stark, natural aptitude for survival, a grim gift born from desperation. He carries a single, burning clue from that horrific night: a distinct symbol emblazoned on the robes of those responsible. This mark is his only lead, a beacon in the darkness that fuels his every breath. One day, he vows, he will have his revenge.

Rowan (Retired: Session 17)
Human Rogue, Thief

After a stint in the Neverwinter cells for a string of undisclosed crimes, Rowan hoped to leave his troubled past behind. Upon his release, he moved away from the bustling city, eventually finding himself in the quieter town of Red Larch.

However, escaping his past proved impossible. The Zhentarim, a shadowy organization with a long memory, still had him "on their books." Without many everyday skills to fall back on, Rowan found himself inexorably drawn back to the very activities that landed him in prison in the first place. Now, in Red Larch, he's once again caught in the web of his old life, a pawn in the Zhentarim's schemes, and a man struggling against the tides of his own history.
